As usual, I've been really busy and at the same time got lazy on my backlogs... Also, there's been a repainting done to my room, so I never really have a chance in building and reviewing our next kit.
Oh, by the way, this will be a short review since there is something wrong in my phone camera... and the shots I got is somehow blurry (maybe its time for me to look for a better phone with a good camera...I'm open for suggestions)
Anyway, today, we are going to look on HGUC Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Destroy Mode (Red Frame)
UNBOXING
There is nothing something new about this kit compare to the green version of this, except for the additional beam javelin and additional sticker decals...
Unfortunately, the additional decals is only for the main kit and there is no decals for the its armors and weapons. (There are decals for all of the shields though)
MAIN KIT
Details is good. You will get what you expect for an HG kit. there are minimal panel line opportunity in here. Since it is a white kit with a little color scheme, I suggest to panel line this to bring out the detail even further.
For articulation, well, due to its having a lot of armors connected to its arms, back and legs, it is a real hassle moving this kit. The head is a little loose (I don't know if it is just for my kit) the V fin pops out a lot, there are a lot of things hindering parts when posing this kit.
For arms and legs, like other HG unicorn kits, it only bends at one point. The shoulders can move forward and the legs is connected in a ball joint connected to its crotch which results to minimal articulation.
As you can see, the kit can hold the javelin on both arms.
The back pack holds two bazookas and rocket launchers (I guess), that also holds two gas propellers that may cause a back heavy issue when attached. Like to older hguc unicorn kits, they will give you some stands for the proppelers however I really don't like putting those things. I suggest you go for extra spending and buy a action base for this kit.
Here are some of the parts I didn't bother building and some extra parts
This includes the handles for the shield, stand for the gas propellers and parts for the folded javelin
Issues encountered: The connection peg for the beam sabers on the backpack is really delicate. Unfortunately I broke the peg in my kit and the peg stuck into the beam sabers, You could just glue them, however you will not able to use them again. Just be careful on that part.
OVERALL
This is a good kit for a good price. It is bigger for an ordinary HG kits. Not much for gimmicks but it can really stand out when displayed with other kits.
This is a must buy kit for Unicorn fans. Don't spend money on other HGUC unicorn kits. Just this one is more than enough
Thats all for now, and see you on my next review. :)
