MG 1/100 Destiny Gundam Heine Custom UNBOXING (Dragon Momoko)

Hello world!

Sorry for a long hiatus (again) I've been really busy at my job (you don't know how hard it is to be a teacher, unless you are one).

I've been to busy that I was unable to complete building this kit (so sad). I end up selling this kit after partially building this.

Actually, I already finished the kit, but I was unable to build the weapons and other stuff. I really just wanted to update this blog. So please spare me T.T

Anyway, I was able to take pictures when I was unboxing this kit, and I want to share this with you guys.

Backgroud of this kit: Well I believe that Dragon Momoko (DM) thought of getting the design of the Metal Build Destiny of Bandai and make it a plastic model kit for us. And since DM is a third party company, they made it more affordable for its customers.

Bottom line is, if you want a metal build destiny but you are short on money, this kit is your option.

My thoughts about this kit:

The plastic is decent, I would say 85-90% quality of a bandai, There are a lot of fitting issues so you have to use sand paper until it fits.

Details are great! color separation is also great. For sticker, well its typical bootleg stickers, and even without the stickers (aside from camera lenses and eye stickers) the looks will still be amazing.

For water slide decals, I was unable to use them, but I think they are great.

Well, here are what you will get after opening the box.

Like I said, I was able to finish the kit, But was unable to make a detailed review of it. However, Building this kit is not for beginners, specially handling this kind of plastic. The quality of the plastic is nice, but since it is a bootleg, you may encounter some issues. So building this kit may take your patience to a practice. Just be careful and don't rush things up.

You may also encounter stretch marks while building this kit, so make sure to trim the pegs using sand paper to make a perfect fit.

I also recommend to panel line this kit since it has good details in it. Panel lining this kit will really bring out it's details. (Note: The image of the box is not exactly what you will get once you finished the kit, you may have to paint this kit to achieve the details on the image of the box)

FINAL THOUGHTS: This is an amazing kit. This kit is for people out there who wants a metal build but can't afford it's price. But PLEASE do support the original one, since they are the one who are working hard to make this industry running.

I will also take this opportunity to announce that at this time, I will be focusing on 1/144 scales than 1/100 scales due to the reason that I have a small space in my room.

Also, I will be more focusing on Bandai kits than third party kits. Not because I'm a purist or anything. But this is my support for those people behind the success of this industry.

Last thing, I may have a little time for my hobby that also means that I may not update this blog that well. But I make sure that once I have finished a kit, I will make a review for that kit and post it here. (Well that is the main reason why I build kits is to share it to you guys).

Anyway, again I'm sorry for the long hiatus and expect that I will be a long time until I update this blog.

See ya!

RG 1/144 Gundam Wing ver EW

Hello guys!

Its been almost a year after my last review.. I've been busy last year and wasn't able to find time finishing my backlog kits.. But hey! I'm back again! And I'm happy to share to you guys my review for this awesome kit! the RG 1/144 Gundam Wing ver. EW. The kit is so good, I went ahead an put the decals on it!

(the Hero Yuy pose...kind of)

Unboxing

Yup! some of the runners are recycled from the earlier version RG 1/144 Wing Zero with recoloring and some additional parts. But the kit still gives an unique build into it.

HEAD

It amaze me that they were able to put three (excluding the white) different colors to such a small head. For my case, the part that is covering the upper lens camera keeps falling off, Gluing this part will solve this problem though.

BODY

The body is same as the RG Wing Zero, with recoloring of course. The body can tilt side to side, do a little ab crunch, and it also hides a machine gun on it's shoulders (I forgot to take a picture on it). It also has a opening cockpit with the same mechanism of its earlier version.

ARMS

The arms has a double jointed elbow that can bend in two points. It has a clear plastic parts on its arm guard, this will give you an option if you want to paint it green and will still leave you a glass effect, or you could just put the metallic green sticker. I just put the sticker in this case. Also, I thought that the yellow claw (sort of) can be easily fall of, but I guessed wrong. This doesn't give me an issue at all. :)

SKIRTS

Each skirt can move independently... same articulation as the previous one.

LEGS

Looks familiar? Yes! It's the same as the previous version. I'm not sure though if it has the same shade of white. But the articulation is the same. (Disappointed? not at all.)

WINGS

The wings can bend upward and downward, forward and back and you can spread the yellow part to extend it's width. It is still amazing and I like the color separation. When attached to the body, the base of the wings can be lowered (this feature is for the transformation)

ACCESORIES/HANDS

(Sorry for the blur pic)

This is everything that it comes with. A big beam riffle, shield, beam saber (with two beam effects), and two battery canister (or something). For the set of hands, it has a pair of closed fist, pair of holding hands, pair of open hands and of course a pair of RG hands.

Overall Articulation

Posing this kit is simple. But the circle part of the shoulder armor keeps falling off that really annoys me. But gluing this part should solve the issue. Plus posing this with the batteries attached to the arms! oh boy! it really annoys me a lot!

The arm cannot support the beam riffle due it weight.

For the wings, well it has some weight issue. So posing the wings forward is impossible.

And the top piece of the head keeps falling off!

Aside from those complains, everything should be fine. :)

BIRD MODE

It looks amazing on the top view and it looks like a gundam in disguise on the bottom view. But still, it looks great.

OVERALL

Build: 8/10
Articulation: 7/10 (I could give 9 or 10 if it wasn't for the falling pieces)
Design: 10/10 (It's Gundam Wing! everybody loves gundam wing!)

I still believe, even with the issues mentioned, that this kit is awesome! The kit gives the nostalgia of the awesomeness of the days during 90's! (For my case, Gundam Wing series is the first gundam series I have watched that brings me loving Gundam). Even with the recycled parts, Building this kit gives enjoyment and fun! Specially when playing with it..

If you like Gundam Wing or its series, I really recommend this kit.

(I even hope Bandai release the other four Gundams in the series in RG line)

Well, thank you for reading and for the support! Please support my page and share it to your friends :) See ya!
