RG 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam

Hi there!
I never thought I will do a review on this kit...since I lost lot of some parts on this.. but a friend of mine asked me to make a review...so, here is a short review of my RG 1/144 Aile Stike Gundam.

PLATES and DECALS
I already lost the plates of this kit...since Its been built in the past before since I started doing reviews...so no plates and decals guys. :P and yes...I already applied the decals. Some needs trimming though..but really great decals :)

LEGS
The feet is in a ball joint. Nice details and good color separation. can bend fully around 180. and look at those parts separation when it bends. >.<

WAIST
the front and back skirts can move independently and it in a ball joints. It also like pop-out when you do some posing. the sides skirt can be opened for the Armor Schneider, which will be posted later.
nicely detailed and nice color separation. :)

ARMS

The arms can bend at two points and can fully bend at around 180. It also has a part separation when it bends. Nice color separation. They will also give you a pair of close-fist hand and a pair of 1-3 trigger finger hands just like in a MG kits. its in a ball joint though...so make sure you dont loose them. the gray-top part of the shoulder could be move upward.. this is for the other Strike's Striker Packs together with the RG 1/144 Skygrasper. I dont have it though.. :/

(Ive lost some pics on the arms and hands...this is the only pic i recovered so sorry for that)

BODY

Unfortunately you will only have one shade of red, blue and white. Just like any ordinary gundams. But it is nicely detailed The cockpit can be opened but no Kira inside. The hips can bend forward, backward and sides. Yeah...nicely detailed.

HEAD

Yup it is strike... be careful on the white v-fin...it like to pop-out.

MOBILE SUIT

Hips is in ball joint. The arms can bend upward, forward and backward. Legs can move forward, backward, unfortunately a little movement on the sides because of the side skirt..but can still do nice pose. Here are some shots together with the Armor Schneider

.

The Emo Strike...

WEAPONS and ACCESSORIES

Aside from the Armor Schneider.. you will also get a two pairs of beam sabers (two with pegs and two for the backpack) I lost one the beam sabers though, a beam riffle (which has a peg that I also lost...clumsy me) and a shield.
The beams also have details and needs panel lining. It comes with a pink beam sabers...shorter than the beam sabers of 1/100 but still long for its scale. great color separation on the beam riffle.
(It also has a small Kira Yamato...which I accidentally broke)

and even though I lost the peg on the riffle.. it can still hold it pretty well. I didnt expect that... a little loose, but it holds. thanks to the 1-3 trigger finger hand :D

Bandai will also give you a connector for the action base (which will you need for the Aile pack) that will be connected at the crotch.

AILE PACK

The Aile pack is separated into two parts. The wings and the boosters. the connection is a little loose but it holds. Great details.

When connected at the back, it likes to fall off.. its just inserting the Aile pack on its back... no pegs nor connector. but it holds...but a little loose. now once connected at the back..it will really turn the MS a back heavy...its hard to pose it on its own...so you need a action base for aerial poses.  any way It will not called Aile Strike if its not in the air. :P

And its signature pose

OVERALL
Really, this is a great kit. some parts really like to fall-off once you do some posing though... the skirts, the aile pack...and yeah, the skirts... but once done posing it really breath-taking kit.
articulation is also great even though the side skirts hinders the movement of the legs...but you can still move it to side in between those skirts. And you need to be extra careful on not loosing some of its parts.
Oh! I forgot, it also has an inner-frame (just like the other RG's but im just so lazy to put off the parts to show the inner frame).
But all in all..IT IS REALLY A GREAT KIT...

RG 1/144 RX 78-2

Its still in a working progress but Im really excited about this kit. The Grand Daddy RX 78-2 Gundam in RG 1/144 scale. And let me say. Nothing beats the original.

I'm really excited about this kit. It is my first time building a RX 78-2 Gundam, and second time building a RG kit. Only one thing I assure though. This kit will be a badass gundam.

BOX

Opening the box, you will notice the different scales of RX 78-2. I think its one of the marketing strategy of Bandai.

PLATES and DECALS

Now one of the problem in building a RG scales is that there are a lot of small pieces. You cant blame the Bandai though, because they are trying to make a MG kit in a 1/144 scale. So you need to be really extra careful on not loosing some parts in building this kit (like the pegs in the riffle where I lose mine in my RG Strike).

CORE FIGHTER
Im just amazed what they did on the Core Fighter. The hatch is not sliding though but it could open by opening it up. And also it could transform into a Core Block.
They will give you three wheels for the Core Fighter. (Make sure to not loose them. I already loose 2 of them after taking some shots.)

INNER FRAME
Here is some shots in the inner frame. I already built the half of it so you could compare.
Building an RG kits is like building like putting some parts in an innerframe which is already pre-built. so you have to be extra careful on damaging the inner frame. The feel of the plastic of the inner frame is like more solid than the polycaps, more than a rubber than a plastic.

and also you could put the core fighter in it if you dont want the coreblock for the inner frame.

LEGS and FEET
Legs can fully bend. Great parts and color seperation. one part of the knee likes to pop up though, but you could just glue them if you want to. The toe can also bend. :)

WAIST

Sides skirts are movable independently and connected in a ball joints. It always like to pop-out though every time the legs is move at the front, so be careful on losing those skirts.

here is a shot with the core block

BODY

Awesome color seperation. two shades of blue and two shades of gray and there's a metalic gold decal on those vents at the chest to make it more appealing. nicely detailed. the hatch can be open, but no pilot.

ARMS
Arms can bend at two points. Nice details and color separation. you will be given a close fist hand and a manipulator with a 1-3 finger hand just like in a MG kits but in 1/144 scale.

BACKPACK
Nicely detailed. you can attach a beam sabers, You could also move the beam sabers a little  once connected. ( I think its in a ball-joint like). Thrusters are connected in a ball joint. it like to pop-out though,,so be extra careful on posing. you might loose them. Good details

HEAD
Awesome. just awesome and nicely detailed.

MOBILE SUIT

It really looks like a MG 3.0 in a 1/144 scale. Great articulations on arms, legs, skirts and head. Some parts like to pop up though, one part on the knee (which you could glue), skirts at the front and back, parts in the shoulders. aside from those its a solid kit.

here are some poses.

WEAPONS and ACCESSORIES

You will be given a four beam sabers(two for the back pack/shield and two with pegs) a riffle, a bazooka and a shield. all of them are nicely detailed and has color separations.

beam sabers and the beam riffle at the backpack could also mounted on the shield. the cannon can be mounted at the back of the skirt.

for beam sabers they will give you a pink clear plastic. just look on how long those beams are.

Some shots with its weapons.

they will also give you a small Amuro Ray.

and you will also give a connector for action base which can be mounted at the back of the skirt (where you can mount the bazooka)

With RG Strike Gundam

FINAL THOUGHTS

Over all this is an awesome kit and a great kit to buy. Really if you want a great articulated kit in 1/144 scale, you want an RG kit.
This kit is fully articulated. you could make some good poses on this kit and can only be limited by your imagination.

Thanks for reading and keep forward on my next review :)
