For my first review. Lets look at this weapon-overload gundam. The HG 1/144 Gundam Unicorn Full Armor by Daban. I already put a little paint on this kit. so dont expect the same output on your kit >.<
This is a solid kit, you just need to panel line it to see the full details of this kit.
Plates and decals.
LEGS and FEET
For the legs. Unfortunately it can only bend at one point and can fully bend in around 90 degrees. The feet is in double pointed and is in ball joint. And yet the connection is fragile. I accidentally broke the peg where the feet is connected so be careful with that. (I cannot show where the connector is broken. I accidentally deleted the image and i cant find it >.< sorry for that). And due to its tight joints, you can only move the feet a little though its in a ball joint.
ARMS
For the arms, it can up and down, forward and back a little, the wrist is in ball joints. There is a tendency that the joints in the elbow can be disconnected if the arms is bend so be careful also with that. They will also give you two open hands and one trigger finger hand.
There is also a beam saber connected to its arms, and you can connect the beams on it! It just like there's a beam popping out of its elbow! >.<
HEAD
I forgot to take some close up shots on the head but I say that it is nicely done. You need to panel line it though to see the full details of the head. The horn can easily detached though if you accidentally bumped it. (Please look on the other pics that will be posted on this review :P)
BODY and Backpack
There is nothing special on the body though. The hips is in ball joint. You may add some panel line to show its details. The back pack is normal. There are two beam sabers attached to it. Yup! it looks normal and plain Mobile suit. But just wait when you attached the weapons though.
and it can also stand in one foor. really nice!
ACCESORIES and WEAPONS
This kit hates armory! It has three shields three laser gatling guns, three cannons, two of them can be attached with two missile pods EACH and missile pods on both legs and two gas propellant. You have to connect the accesory of the back pack to attached the cannons, the beam gatling gun and those propellants. Yeah you dont want to mess up with this guy.
Unfortunately, even having three cannons the only give you one trigger finger hand... and the holding hand cant hold the the cannons. yeah. Im cheating with this shot.
From unicorn to Full Armor Bad-ass Unicorn.
Oh, almost forgot. you will also have a stands for gas propellant. But didn't put it because I dont like its effect. you may want to spend another cash for its action base. :) But It is really a bad ass gundam. and its not in destroy mode yet.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Yeah! I really like this kit. Just be careful on the fragile connections though.
Because of its armory, the articulation suffers much. but just looking at it standing with its full armor, this kit is breath taking. You dont need to mind the numb marks in the main unit because its plain white. a different issue on the weapon though.
and yeah you may want to spend another cash for its action base because the weapons at the bask is really back heavy.. they will give you a stand though it will lose its realistic effects.
Working with this kit is lime im building a bandai. I can say it 90% close to original. But if you have the money do buy the original. the money is worth it.
