RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam

Hi there! Here is another review for the RG line. The RG 1/144 Freedom Gundam from Gundam Seed/Seed Destiny series!
Ive been into RG's lately... well actually i have a really small place for all of my kits. so I prefer to build kits in 1/144. But I do build kits in 1/100 scales so maybe on my future post I will have a review on kits in MG lines (well RG is like a MG in 1/144). But for now lets take a look on this kit :D

PLATES and DECALS
total of 10 plates and two sheets of clear sticker decals for additional details and warning signs.
you will have one shade for blue, red and dark blue parts and two shades of white parts.

INNER FRAME
Here are some shot of the inner frame. Very stiff articulation, so be careful on bending the legs or hands if you like to check its articulation... it has a minor details..but with good articulation. :)

LEGS

Great articulation. the foot is connected at two points, can bend forward and backward and side to side.double-jointed knee and great parts separation when it bends. just be careful in bending for the first time...it is very stiff and may cost stress on the parts.

SKIRTS

Great details on the front and back skirts. Front skirts can be move independently (but really stiff) back skirt is one part and can move a little. great color separation. they have a little gimmick for the legs (i dont know in other RG's I still didnt check it) but the connectors for the legs... it can move forward and backward. so you can place the legs more closer to the front or back.

RAIL GUN

The rail gun also serve as the side skirts. Unfortunately it hinders the movement of the legs on the sides when its folded. Great details and articulation.

ARMS

Great details, double jointed elbow and can fully bend. the hands is connected in ball joint and can wiggle. They will also give you a pair of close hands, and RG hands. a trigger finger hand for the riffle (which can be holded by the RG hands) and a open hand. the copper (or bronze) part on the elbow is painted (using bronze sharpie marker). you suppose to put a metal copper sticker on the elbow but when it bends, the sticker dislocates and have tendency to pop-off...so I prefer to paint it. But still, great details and articulation.

BODY

Great details. you can open the cockpit by sliding it (will be shown on the pics) Theres also a articulation on the hips.

HEAD

the head consist of very small parts, specially the mouth piece...so be sure be extra careful in building the head. Head can go up and down, forward and back and can rotate 360, great details and color separation.

MS

It has great articulation, the side skirts (rail guns) hinders the movement of the legs, but you could just move them at the back of you want to make the leg spread. here are some poses.

BACK PACK/ WINGS

Great articulation.  Really looks good when all is spread out. There is also a cannon on the wings that can bend forward when the wings is folded or spread. there is also an additional part separation on the main parts of the wings to make it more...flushy.

now before I attache the wings, you will need this part that will be connected at the crotch for the action base because it will really make the Freedom back-heavy once the wings is connected

Here are some poses of Freedom with its wings.

OTHER WEAPONS and ACCESSORIES

Aside from rail cannons and wing cannons, It also has a beam riffle, beam sabers a shield and a small figure of Kira.

for the beam sabers, they will give you a pair of long clear pink beams. the beams sabers also can connect to make a double beam lance. Just look how long the beam sabers are. it can also be stored at the side skirts.

for the riffle.. great details and parts separation. You can use the trigger finger hand to hold it or just use the RG hand. I preffer to use the trigger finger hand so it can hold it very well. it can be stored at the back skirt as well.

the handle of the shield can be place on those little holes. it is connected at the elbow part of the hand.

The little Kira Yamato and the opening cockpit

Some poses

OVER ALL

This is a great kit, no loose parts, and there are no parts like to pop-off great articulation. again because of the rail guns, it hinders the side movement of the legs. aside from that, nothing else. just be careful on moving the parts of the Freedom. Great details and if you want to put the decals on it it make the details more stand out. This is one of my favorite kit so far. RG improves its line compare to the first release. Yeah RG still never fails me.

Please keep looking forward for my next review. :)
