HG 1/144 Gundam X Maoh (Bootleg)

Its been a while since I had my last review... Ive been busy this past few months and even this holiday season... so first let me greet you a belated merry christmas and happy new year!

during this holiday season actually I've been busy playing Gundam Dyanasty Warriors Reborn for PS3 :P so Ive been neglecting building all my backlogs kits. :P

But for now lets take a look on this HG Gundam X Maoh...

Im not into Build Fighter kits actually, But I heard that even though this is a third party kit, its actually pretty close to the quality of Bandai. This actually intrigues me so I bought one...and it pretty descent kit. :D (But please support the original one)

Before I start, I painted some of the parts in this kit...so dont expect to have the same result on your kits :)

UNBOXING and PLATES

Total of 10 plates, a manual and a sticker sheet. You'll get a white, blue, dark blue yellow and red colors for the entire kit...some part will depend on the sticker sheet. but the sticker is actually nice.. I didnt use some of the stickers though...
The feel, details and quality of the plastic is pretty close to the original...
You will also get some parts used in building the original gundam X in plate A.

LEGS:
Unfortunately, the legs can only bend at 90 degrees, nice details, the feet in ball joint, theres a hinge at the ankle so you can bend it back ward and forwad. the legs is also in a ball joint once connected on the skirts.

SKIRT
The front skirts is in one piece, but you can separate it. side skirt can move in and out and the back skirt is one solid part and no articulation.
The stickers on the front skirt and at the back is great for color separation.

ARMS
Same as the legs, the arms can only bend at 90 degrees, I've painted the light blue parts on the shoulder armor and on the shield, but you can use the stickers as well...
You will get a pair of holding hands, a open a hand for the left arm and a special holding hand for the beam cannon for the right hand.

BODY and HEAD
For the body, It has pretty nice color separation and details.. Ive painted the gray part on the shoulder and vulcans on the stomach...
For the head well its pretty nice.. Ive painted the details around the head silver but you can use the stickers instead :) I also painted the jewel on the v-fin silver because the stickers is too small for the part. over all, Im satisfied on the result after painting :)

BACK PACK
For the back pack, well you will have the reflectors, the beam cannon and a beam sabers... you could swap the beam saber and the cannon of you like.
the reflectors can bend backward

MS

Well after putting all the parts together. This kit is pretty nice. :)
Great details, great color separation for a HG kit. not mentioning that is a bootleg...

WEAPONS:

For weapons, it actually has plenty
It has two different beam sabers, one is attached at the back pack and one is attached at the beam cannon... they will give you a pretty nice green clear plastic for the sabers.. I pretty like the 3D effect of on of the beam sabers :)

It also has two different beam riffles. The other one has a shield-like-part attached.

and if the beam riffles run out of ammo.. He still has two vulcans that can attached on the shoulder and on the legs...

who am I kidding, When you say Gundam X...it is famous on its huge beam cannons!

which you can place on its shoulders or can be holded by the hands...

OVERALL:

This kit is actually great... building this kit is like building the original one... the details of this kit is better than other bootleg kits.
For the MS itself,,, well its unfortunate that it lacks articulation on the arms and legs. and for good color separation, you must rely on the stickers (which actually Im not a fan of) and since it has a poor articulation, getting a great pose for this kit is pretty hard... but for a HG kit... this is pretty nice.

over all, if your a fan of Build Fighter series and but dont have enough bread...this BL kit is for you...
But still if this BL kit is pretty nice..whats more for the original one... So please do buy the original.

Thats it for now... please look forward for my next review... Thanks :D

    1. Hello! I'm sorry for the very late reply. I was inactive for almost a year...

Regarding to your concern though, if you are based here in the Philippines, it usually cost around 350php for bootylegs (that's around 7 USD i think).
